I’m looking for a very sturdy tractor for my 5 year old cousin. He LOVES trucks but I guess he’s pretty rough with them, Which brand is the sturdiest/most durable? He’s asking for a tractor (again). Last Christmas I bought him the Bruder crane (the large one) but it’s totally broken now.

Thanks for your question. For 5 year olds there are many ride on tractors but few good toy tractors. For toy tractors checkout this post- Best John Deere Toy Tractors For Kids & Collectors . Carefully select. some of them our collectors items, very small and not durable but one or two are in there which are very durable.
The rideon toy tractors for kids are big and durable. Some of them are expensive but there are inexpensive ones too. Checkout this list of John Deere Ride On Toys Comparison It has some durable big toy tractors you can get for your cousin.
In the smaller toy vehicle category, Green Toys and Tonka are the most sturdiest and most durable toy makers. Unfortunately Green Toys are made for Toddlers from 1 to maybe 3 or 4. Tonka is good for your cousin’s age but hey don’t any toy tractors model for sale. All of there toys are different varieties of trucks, loaders and cranes. They haven’t gone into farm toy vehicles. But check them out anyway because he might like to get the Tonka Mighty Dump truck or one of the other models.
Sad to hear about what happened to that Bruder truck. I love Bruder toys and like playing with them even as an adult. Bruder toys are more suitable for 7 or 8+ year old kids who can understand the value of the realistic details and handle them with care. Bruder should change the recommended age for their realistic toy series from 3/4+ to around 6+ or so.
